Welcoming Kathy Dearmond To Milestone Properties Cayman
January 27, 2021
Many of my friends, family, and former colleagues ask about my life here in the Cayman Islands. Believe it or not, I do more than just SCUBA dive, paddleboard, and walk the beach at sunset. I work too!
I'm beyond excited to announce that I have joined the dynamic team at Milestone Properties Cayman as a Licensed Agent. I get to spend the next chapter of my career combining two of my passions: The Cayman Islands & Real Estate.
I've been living in the Cayman Islands for over 5 years now and it has been great. My journey to living in the Cayman Islands began with a family vacation and realizing that Grand Cayman is genuinely a liveable paradise. Contrary to how I imagined “island life” might be, I found the island to have modern infrastructure, reliable utilities (fast internet!), fantastic restaurants, nice grocery stores, beautiful neighbourhoods, first-class healthcare, and excellent schools. The best part, the islands are safe and of course, year-round pleasant weather and crystal-clear warm water is a beautiful bonus!
Remote working and learning have become more widely used and accepted, making now a great time to think about a change of scenery and lifestyle. There are many advantages to owning property in the Cayman Islands including a favourable tax system (no annual property, income, corporate, capital gains, or inheritance taxes), the stable political environment as a British Overseas Territory, and no restrictions on foreign ownership. To make life a little easier, the islands are a short 3-hour flight from Dallas and just 1 hour from Miami International.
The Cayman Islands are designated as COVID-free and while vacation travel is not fully open, the islands are open to homeowners or those who can stay a little longer and work remotely from Cayman. Find out if you are eligible for Cayman Islands Global Citizenship.
If you are thinking of owning a first or second home in a first class and tax neutral country, message me and let's talk more about why the Cayman Islands are considered the most liveable islands in the Caribbean. Come experience the CaymanKind way of life.
