Trip Advisor lauds the Cayman Islands’ 5* restaurants, hotels and attractions!

The all-star cast for Trip Advisor’s 2014 awards is a diverse mix of Cayman’s best offerings, but this is not solely for the enjoyment of the hundreds of thousands of tourists that visit our sunny shores, it’s reflective of the high standards of lifestyle that residents benefit from too.

Cayman sets itself apart from many other island destinations because it does not solely rely upon tourism as its mainstay; the Cayman Islands are renowned as a first class offshore finance centre, which also benefits from a thriving real estate market. The combination of world-class restaurants, bars, hotels and shops not only cater to destination wedding parties, corporate functions, seminars and retreats and millions of vacationers every year, they also satisfy the needs of the cosmopolitan mix of residents that live and work in this Caribbean haven.

The winners are representative of the fantastic lifestyle that Cayman has to offer; Caribbean Club ranks number 1 for accommodation on Seven Mile Beach, with its own restaurant Luca ranking highly too. Best for Families is the Cotton Tree Resort in West Bay, and Best Value is the popular dive resort Turtle Nest in Bodden Town.

Maintaining Cayman’s position as the number one foodie destination in the Caribbean are our friends at Kaibo – awarded Best Restaurant in Northside, Cayman Kai and Rum Point. Those in search of vegan and vegetarian cuisine will be pleased to learn that both Bread and Chocolate, and our Camana Bay favourite Jessie’s Juice, were also awarded a Certificate of Excellence.

Making the most of a sunny day is everyone’s favourite pastime, and it is not surprising that a trip to Stingray City is still top of the attractions and activities list, as is horseback riding on the beach, stand up paddle boarding, diving the Kittiwake and a tour of the Botanic Gardens, opened by Queen Elizabeth II herself.
